Singer, Jay Z Features Fela’s ‘Zombie’ On New Playlist

 

Top United States entertainer, Jay Z, has featured
Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s revolutionary
‘Zombie’ track on a new Tidal playlist titled ‘Songs
of Survival.’

The playlist, which also features Kendrick Lamar’s
‘Alright’, Nina Simone’s ‘Feeling Good’, and picks
from Marvin Gaye, Kanye West, Beyoncé, Outkast,
Curtis Mayfield, Gil Scott-Heron, Goodie Mob, and
more has an artwork of two iconic African-American
figures, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr., in a
handshake.

Okay Z has also addressed the recent killings of
African-Americans, Alton Sterling and Philando
Castile, by policemen in the United States.
